  I took my 96 curren there for a WOF and they failed it on a cracked indicator and a sloppy rear steering rack ball-joint. Its done 300kkm now so I'd of been worried if they hadn't of picked up on anything. The mechanic fixed the headlight automatically with some silicon for free which was great. Then they fixed the ball-joint for $130+parts and GST which is a lot for 2hrs work but its seems to be the market rate so thats OK I guess. However, when I looked at the part they replaced I couldn't find any slop at all. The mechanic agreed but said it did have some slop when on the car. So I asked how much and he said not sure but enough that you could hear it slap as you wobble the steering. The part is obviously over engineered so I wouldn't consider it likely to fail because of a tiny bit of slop. So while I love that they noticed the slop I disagree that it was worth failing the car on. So I won't be going there for my next warrant. Not unless I've got money to burn
